EMDR

What is EMDR?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing) is one of the most powerful therapeutic approaches available today, backed by around 30 years of research.

Originally developed for trauma and PTSD, it’s proven remarkably effective for a wide range of issues – including eliminating cravings, breaking unwanted patterns, processing difficult emotions, and addressing anxiety and stress.

My clients are continually amazed by how quickly this technique works. The best thing about EMDR is that you can actually experience the changes happening during the session.

Many people begin feeling relief within the first few sessions. What might take months or even years through traditional therapy alone can often be addressed in a matter of weeks.

EMDR makes therapeutic changes at a subconscious level, working with your brain’s natural processing system to resolve what’s been keeping you stuck.

EMDR can also be used to treat

  • Alcohol and substance use
  • Trauma and anxiety
  • Emotional eating
  • Self-esteem issues
  • Processing difficult life experiences
